Moni Island, Aegina
The tiny island off the coast of Aegina, beautiful, secluded, inhabited by peacocks and deer. Although I didn’t manage to get any pictures of the deer or the peacocks… by the time we went looking for the deer they were gone. I also asumed chasing the peacocks with a camera is never a good look.
On the highest peak there is a world war 2 bunker, that is now long abandon. You can only imagine the contrast of how things used to be while it was occupied to how things are now.
The start of the day we took a tiny fishing boat over to the tiny dock. Before it got to hot my Albanian friend and I climbed to the top to get a view of the ocean. After a quick hike down, things only got better with a refreshing dip in some pristine ocean water.
